Manuela Caiani and Batuhan Eren (both Scuola Normale Superiore) presented their AUTHLIB project findings in the Summer School on “Democratic backsliding and political conflict” organised by the European Governance and Politics Programme (EGPP) of the European University Institute at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies in collaboration with Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the Scuola Normale Superiore between 27-30 September 2025 in Florence and Cortona.

Manuela Caiani, one of the organizers of the Summer School, gave an extensive lecture on the trasnationalization of far right politics in Europe. The summer school hosted 29 scholars from 24 nations to examine democratic erosion – and resistance to it – across regions, through diverse disciplinary and methodological lenses.
